Morris Cave
The developer has not uploaded a game yet...
This is the POC (proof of concept) of my first game :)
The purpose of this version is to validate the mechanics and collect feedback from other players...you will probably find bugs out there!
Thanks for playing and don't forget to leave your feedback, it will help me a lot.

Looks and plays pretty cool, however the savepoints (flame torch) don't work(?). When you've lit a torch and then die, you still go back all the way at the beginning.
Movement seems fairly smooth. General mechanics are hard to comment on since they seem to be "run, jump, shoot" which is pretty standard. I never quite figured out the pattern to when the enemies on level 2 move or stand still.
But I'm going to make a comment on the control scheme that has become a bit of a pet-peeve of mine, especially on itch.io games for some reason. I couldn't really play too far because I tend to play these games on my laptop. My laptop briefly disables the trackpad after a keypress to prevent accidental moving/clicking of the "mouse" when typing. This makes games that use "mouse click to shoot" difficult to play. I could understand that if the weapon were aimed. There's no reason for it when there's no aiming. A mouse is used for positional interaction. If you just need a button to trigger "fire", there's dozens of "buttons" available on the keyboard. Why does everyone seem to go for the mouse?
Hello!
I loved the game's proposal, I loved the art style and the atmosphere of the game, the mechanics are simple but were very well explored in these stages, a personal suggestion that would bring more competitiveness to the game would be to add a timer and a ranking with the best times for each level. It would make me want to replay the game and try to finish the level faster.
In the last phase I felt a despair when the screen started to shake, if that was the goal, it was very well done, I ran as fast as possible to finish hehe!
I loved playing the game, I'll keep an eye out for the next updates!
Note: I found two bugs that are basic but it would be interesting to fix them, follow their video.
The first is an enemy that is without movement in the first phase, and the second occurs when you have a life and end up passing the final gate and dying having to restart the level, and when you have 2 or 3 lives this doesn't happens.
Thank you very much for your feedback, I'm glad you liked the game.
I will definitely add these suggestions on making the game more competitive!
As the game has a simpler style in the arts I wanted to bring some effect with the cameras and lights. That's why in the last phase I put this effect to draw attention to the game and give that feeling of: I NEED TO RUN!
Hi there,
Liked the overall atmosphere of the game, this simple color pallet is pretty.
I would change the fire pole to be a checkpoint.
As your first game this is very impressive, congrats.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. The fire pole is a checkpoint :)
Did you like the gameplay? it's very hard?
Morris Die

I'm very glad you liked it. This is still a trial version and I will definitely add more news!
